Last week, members of the 400 North Association of REALTORS®, along with over 800 REALTORS® from across the state, participated in the Georgia REALTORS® Association's Annual Day at The Dome. This event is a significant tradition and a crucial part of GAR's advocacy endeavors. 

In addition to a legislative update from GAR’s Lobbyist Betsy Banfield, 400 North members were able to meet with most of the State House and State Senate members from our local delegation, including Senator Steve Gooch and Senator Shawn Still as well as Representatives Todd Jones, Will Wade, Lauren McDonald, Brent Cox, Rick Jasperse, and Carter Barrett. 

The highlight of the day was State Senator Greg Dolezal’s invitation for REALTOR® members to join him in the chamber to meet with Lt. Governor Burt Jones and to have their picture taken with the Lt. Governor. 

Throughout the day, discussions with our state elected officials focused on various issues about increasing access to affordable, workforce housing, the preservation of private property rights, and protecting Georgians from real estate scams and predatory practices.
