During the November 2023 Annual Conference, NAR Chief Advocacy Officer Shannon McGahn the public policy and advocacy goals for NAR as we go into 2024. Included in McGahn’s assessment were the current challenges Congress faces and NAR's record of success in the face of such adversity.

Included in these priorities are efforts to support additional housing supply including the conversion of underutilized office spaces into housing units. The More Homes on the Market Act, the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act, tax credits, and other incentives to give private investment efforts are the types of legislation NAR is focused on.
